One of the quick self-care tips that I work with my clients is to check in with our bodies and tend to what is going on by asking one quick question, “What do I need right now?”. When we become aware and mindful, we can choose to address these signs and symptoms and learn to take better care of ourselves.

I think we just have to accept that there has to be a balance. We can set goals and take them in any direction we want, but we also have to accept the outcomes of our decisions. There are ripple effects to every decision we make, some may be expected or intentional, and others won’t be. There are some things we never will have control over, and those things are not as important as they seem.

I completely understand how hard it can be some days having something that makes you look a little different. Don’t hesitate to do whatever makes you feel comfortable in your own skin, whether it’s wearing some camouflage/self-tanner or wearing your white patches beautiful and proud.
